Jaalva Community Guidelines
Jaalva is built around a simple principle: creators should be able to Create Freely while respecting the safety, rights, consent, and freedom of everyone else.
1.Create Freely — Without Harming Others
Jaalva is intended to provide creators with broad freedom to express themselves, experiment, entertain, educate, discuss controversial subjects, create mature work, and build communities.
Creative freedom does not include the right to exploit, threaten, abuse, deceive, endanger, or unlawfully violate the rights of another person.
These Guidelines apply to videos, livestreams, comments, live chat, usernames, profile information, images, captions, messages, and other activity on Jaalva.
2.Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to have a Jaalva account.
Jaalva does not allow accounts for children under 13, even with parental permission.
Users may not falsify their age or help another person circumvent Jaalva's age requirements.
Some content and features have higher age restrictions. Being old enough to have a Jaalva account does not mean you are old enough to access all content on Jaalva.
3.Content Ratings
Jaalva uses content ratings to help creators properly classify content and to protect younger users.
General
Content intended for a broad audience. It should not contain explicit sexual material, graphic violence, or other material requiring a higher rating.
Mature
Content that may include strong language, adult themes, non-graphic violence, suggestive material, substance-related discussion, or other material that may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
Restricted 18+
Lawful adult content intended exclusively for adults, including content that is sexually explicit, contains explicit nudity, or otherwise requires adult-only access under Jaalva policy.
Creators are responsible for selecting an appropriate rating.
Intentionally mislabeling content to bypass age restrictions may result in content removal or account enforcement.
4.Adult and NSFW Content
Jaalva permits certain lawful adult and NSFW content when it complies with these Guidelines and is properly designated as Restricted 18+.
Adult content must involve only consenting adults. Every person depicted in sexually explicit content must be at least 18 years old.
Creators are responsible for ensuring they possess the legal rights and required consent to publish the content they upload or broadcast.
The existence of an 18+ category does not make illegal, exploitative, abusive, non-consensual, or otherwise prohibited sexual content acceptable.
Jaalva may remove adult material, restrict its visibility, require a different content rating, or request additional information when reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance.
5.Sexual Exploitation and Non-Consensual Content
Jaalva prohibits sexual exploitation and non-consensual sexual content.
Prohibited content includes:
- Intimate images or videos shared without the depicted person's consent.
- Hidden-camera sexual or intimate recordings.
- Sexual content involving coercion or exploitation.
- Threats to publish intimate material.
- Sexual extortion or blackmail.
- Content presented as authentic sexual imagery of a real person when it was fabricated or manipulated without their consent.
- Content facilitating sexual exploitation or human trafficking.
6.Child Safety
Jaalva has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
Never upload, livestream, request, distribute, promote, facilitate, or attempt to obtain child sexual abuse material or sexual content involving a person under 18.
Prohibited activity also includes:
- Sexual grooming of minors.
- Sexual solicitation involving a minor.
- Sexualized depictions of minors.
- Attempts to normalize or facilitate sexual abuse of children.
- Threats, coercion, or exploitation involving a minor.
- Content that facilitates trafficking or exploitation of children.
Jaalva may immediately remove content, permanently ban accounts, preserve relevant evidence, and report suspected child exploitation to appropriate authorities or organizations where required or appropriate.
7.Harassment and Bullying
Disagreement, criticism, satire, trash talk, and heated conversation are not automatically harassment.
However, users may not engage in targeted conduct intended to seriously intimidate, threaten, stalk, or abuse another person.
Prohibited behavior may include:
- Credible threats of violence.
- Targeted stalking.
- Coordinated harassment campaigns.
- Encouraging others to seriously harass a specific person.
- Repeated unwanted sexual harassment.
- Threatening a person or their family.
Context matters. Jaalva may distinguish between genuine threats or abuse and obvious comedy, gaming banter, criticism, fictional content, or consensual interaction.
8.Hateful Conduct
Jaalva does not permit content whose primary purpose is to promote violence, dehumanization, or serious targeted abuse against people based on protected characteristics.
Discussion, criticism, education, news reporting, documentary material, satire, historical material, and counterspeech may be permitted when context makes clear that the purpose is not to promote hateful abuse.
9.Violence and Threats
Jaalva prohibits credible threats of violence, instructions intended to facilitate imminent violent wrongdoing, and content used to coordinate attacks against people.
Fictional violence, gaming content, combat sports, newsworthy events, educational material, and other contextualized depictions of violence may be permitted.
Graphic material may require a Mature or Restricted 18+ rating depending on its nature and context.
10.Self-Harm and Dangerous Behavior
Users may discuss mental health, recovery, addiction, self-harm, dangerous activities, and difficult personal experiences.
However, content must not encourage, pressure, or instruct another person to seriously injure or kill themselves.
Jaalva may restrict or remove material that directly promotes severe self-harm or presents an immediate safety risk.
Dangerous stunts or activities may also be restricted when they present an unreasonable risk of serious harm or encourage viewers to replicate dangerous behavior without appropriate context.
11.Illegal Activity
Jaalva may not be used to directly facilitate or coordinate illegal activity.
Prohibited uses include:
- Human trafficking.
- Fraud and scams.
- Extortion.
- Distribution of malware.
- Unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Sale or distribution of illegal goods or services.
- Coordination of serious criminal activity.
Discussion, journalism, fictional depictions, education, harm-reduction information, and criticism concerning illegal activity are not automatically prohibited.
12.Privacy and Personal Information
Do not publish another person's highly sensitive private information for the purpose of harassment, intimidation, fraud, or exposing them to harm.
This may include information such as:
- Private home addresses.
- Passwords or authentication credentials.
- Private financial information.
- Government identification numbers.
- Other highly sensitive information that creates a meaningful risk of harm.
Information that is already legitimately public may still be restricted when it is being used primarily to facilitate threats, stalking, or targeted abuse.
13.Impersonation and Deception
Users may not impersonate another person or organization in a manner intended to fraudulently deceive others about their identity.
Parody, fan, commentary, roleplay, and satire accounts may be permitted when they are not being used to fraudulently misrepresent identity.
14.Spam, Bots, and Platform Manipulation
Users may not intentionally manipulate Jaalva's systems through unauthorized automation, artificial engagement, spam networks, or deceptive activity.
Prohibited behavior may include:
- Automated fake accounts.
- Artificial likes, follows, or views.
- Mass unsolicited spam.
- Malicious scraping.
- Attempts to circumvent rate limits or security systems.
- Manipulating reporting systems to target another user.
15.Copyright and Intellectual Property
Upload only content that you have the right to use.
Jaalva may remove or restrict material when we receive a valid copyright complaint or otherwise determine that the content violates applicable intellectual-property rights.
Repeat infringement may result in account restrictions or termination.
Details concerning copyright complaints will appear in Jaalva's Copyright / DMCA Policy.
16.Livestreaming
These Community Guidelines apply equally to livestreams.
Because livestreams happen in real time, Jaalva staff may take immediate action when a broadcast presents a safety or policy concern.
Depending on the situation, Jaalva may:
- Remove a live-chat message.
- Mute a participant.
- Remove or ban a participant from a Live.
- End a livestream.
- Restrict the broadcaster's account.
Creators remain responsible for selecting the proper content rating for their livestream.
17.Live Chat
Live chat is intended to enable real-time conversation between creators and their communities.
Creators may moderate their own chat, and Jaalva staff may intervene when activity violates these Guidelines or presents a safety concern.
A user may be timed out, muted, banned from a specific Live, or subjected to broader account enforcement depending on the severity and scope of the conduct.
18.Reports
Jaalva users may report supported accounts, videos, comments, livestreams, and live-chat messages.
Reports should be submitted in good faith.
Jaalva may take into account the content itself, surrounding context, account history, severity, intent, and other relevant information when reviewing a report.
A report does not automatically mean the reported content or account violated Jaalva policy.
Intentionally abusing the reporting system may result in enforcement against the reporting account.
19.Enforcement
Enforcement depends on the nature, severity, frequency, and context of the violation.
Jaalva may use one or more of the following actions:
- No action.
- Content rating correction.
- Content removal.
- Live-chat removal.
- Feature restrictions.
- Warnings.
- Temporary suspensions.
- Account bans.
- Live-specific mutes or bans.
- Livestream termination.
Severe violations may result in immediate permanent enforcement without a prior warning.
20.Appeals
When Jaalva provides an appeal option, users may ask staff to reconsider an eligible moderation decision.
Filing an appeal does not automatically reverse the original enforcement action.
Jaalva may approve or deny an appeal after reviewing the available information.
21.Context Matters
Jaalva does not intend to moderate content by looking only for isolated words, images, or controversial topics.
Where appropriate, we may consider context such as artistic purpose, journalism, education, satire, gaming, documentary value, consent, fictional depiction, criticism, and public-interest value.
Context does not excuse material that is illegal or presents serious exploitation or safety concerns.
22.Pre-Alpha Expectations
Jaalva's moderation systems and policies are being tested and refined during pre-alpha.
Testers may encounter incomplete moderation workflows, bugs, or policy situations that require manual review.
Feedback from pre-alpha testers may be used to improve these Guidelines and Jaalva's safety systems before public launch.
23.Changes to These Guidelines
Jaalva may update these Community Guidelines as the Service develops, new features are introduced, or safety and legal requirements change.
Material changes may be communicated through Jaalva, email, or another reasonable method.
24.Contact
Questions or concerns regarding these Community Guidelines, account safety, or moderation may be submitted to:
